    Default Original Superhero Character Films?

Can a no budget original superhero film make it in today's big budget Hollywood world? What are some good unknown films?

I made a no budget original superhero video in my garage called THE GINGER, but had zero luck getting the word out.
    Here's the latest version.

I had to lean toward comedy since it was just me and couldn't do any technical stuff. I wanted to introduce the character in this film. On a side note, my villains masks are from a bike helmet company my dad started when I was a kid and went under in 1992. He's going through chemo now, so I think it's kind of cool I'm putting them to use. Everything came from stuff around my house.

I think the images turned out well.

Only one I can think of was Meteor Man unless he's also based on some super obscure comic?

    Two more came to mind.

    James Gunn's Super

    Disney's Sky High

I wonder if the 2008 spoof film Superhero Movie counts? Original superhero though the movie was riffing off of Raimi's Spider-Man and other existing superhero films at the time.

I guess people prefer watching a movie about a superhero they are familiar with or have at least heard about rather than someone with no history.

Wasn't Meteor Man a Marvel comic. Might have been a different character with the same name.

EDIT: Checked on Wiki. Marvel published a comic based on the movie. The Looter, a minor Spider-Man villain, also used that name at some point.

I liked Sky High, which was about a high school full of super powered students. The Incredibes was great, too.

I think the Incredibles might be too inspired by the Fantastic 4 to count as true originals. Outside of some power swapping between characters, and subbing in a speedster for a flame user, they all conform to the FF, even the baby. Plus that's a spot on Mole Man expy at the end of the first film as a bonus.
