I'm not sure what you mean by "suburban gothic"? Do you mean a more lighthearted take on horror tropes like iZombie or something that deals with horror in a suburban context? If it's the second, I can't recommend John Smith's Cradlegrave highly enough.

i don't know if this is what you're looking for but by reading that wikipedia page, the first thing that popped into my head was jeff lemire's, sweet tooth series. i guess it's not really suburban given the fact that it's post apocalyptic. i think you might enjoy the manhattan projects. i have no idea.

i can't say i've ever really indulged in suburban gothic and if i have, i can't for the life of me think of it right now.

I also thinking Gary Milledge's sadly unfinished Strangehaven may fit the bill.

I found both a hell of a lot better than I, Zombie, which had some very nice art.

I have been reading Afterlife with Archie, it's been quite an experience especially with the latest issue.

About Sweet Tooth, don't know if it falls in this category but I plan to pick up the trades soon. It seemed like something I would enjoy.

I will look out for Strangehaven & Cradlegrave.

A lot of Daniel Clowes falls in this category as well.
