This can't be any surprise if anyone has ever read my posts, but I totally love the early 70s Swanderson intro spreads. Jon Bogdanove is obviously the same as me in this respect because he did beautiful splash intros of his own. I'll have to think about my favorites from the two to post later.

Although I'm not a fan of For Tomorrow's story, Lee produced some utterly breathtaking splashes for it. The spread of Superman flying out to confront an alien armada is one I always find myself in awe of.

Some splash pages show you things you never would have imagined and then, once you see them, they become instantly iconic.
