So who are now the most likely candidates?

I guess Dust or Surge, right?

Because we know;
1- it is a female
2- it is a former X-student
3- she is of color
4- name starts with an 'S'

Name starts with S is unrelated to the character joining in #3 and may not even be a mutant (could be Squirrel Girl, for example, who would make sense based on last year's Marvel Rising comic). And Surge is ruled out anyway, as you're missing a condition - they can't be in Age of X-Man or the preceding Disassembled storyline. She might be the S, but she's not the one joining in #3.

Unless Zub is gonna throw a curveball with Hollow, Gazing Nightshade, Cipher or Creep then it has to be Dust right? I believe all of the others entered the Age of X-Man.

Bling, Creep, Cipher, Wind Dancer, or Penance would all make me happy.

Blindfold is also on the Nextgen cover, so I don't think it reflects who is in the AoX world.
I'd rather have Wind Dancer in the team, especially of Prodigy is a reservist.
Or Cipher or Penance/Hollow, if Zub wants to conclude Guggenheim and Cebulski's unfinished plots.

Well, from what Cebulski said at NYCC last year, it may be because the book is coming back. So Zub wouldn't be able to use any YAs until the writer picks their team (and of course, three of them are currently in West Coast Avengers). Prodigy was an exception because he's controlled by the X office.
