Dumb. But oh well. It was okay.
It's funny how this book wasn't very good while the first issue with Spider-Man was a fun read by the same writer. Pity that issue's artist didn't also do this part.

Also, what the he'll was up with powers this issue? Storm was blasting Jean with lightning and it didn't do anything, Bishop hit hee with energy blasts and she didn't do anything. At least make her use a tk shield so it would make a little sense.
And storms dialogue in this book, doesn't even sound like storm
I found this comic to be somewhat interesting, but in a bad kind of way. The goofy soap opera parts reminded me of Austen's Uncanny X-Men run. The only thing missing was a Carter type character to use with Jean, while Bishop was in a comma.
Honestly, based on that panel in this thread, if they made a soap opera-themed 4-issue limited series X-Men title by this creative team, I'd buy it in a heartbeat! That was glorious.....Poor Ororo, how could Bishop do that to her? But at least Bobby stood up for her!!!! Will Bobby and Ororo hook up after this drama? And where does Kurt fit in? I need some answers, here. This can't stop with a Typhoid Mary going Mastermind on them. I want this to be a permanent storyline.

ALL HAIL THE HADARI YAO, THE OMEGA'S OMEGA, BEYOND OMEGA, THE VOICE OF SOL!!!! NOW AGAIN THE ONE TRUE AND ONLY GODDESS OF THE X-MEN AS CLAREMONT INTENDED!!!!!
Yeah, a crap showing by one writer isnt worth wishing Jean had never return. We could get another 14 years of her dead if one truly wished that and would that be better? She's had great showings in Red and has been given a bigger push than she's ever had in her history and that more than makes up for this forgettable issue. I think the bigger solution is for Marvel to be more tight with her and limit her appearances so she doesnt get inconsistent portrayal like we got here. There's enough unused X-men that she didnt need to be in this. Rachel or Psylocke could have been used as the telepath to deal with Mary
