Returning to the epic battle of Kaiju and Jeagers, this original anime series will expand upon the story of the first two live action movies and follow two siblings — an idealistic teenage boy and his naïve younger sister — who are forced to pilot an abandoned Jaeger across a hostile landscape in a desperate attempt to find their missing parents. It seems like it's going to be a joint production with American showrunners and producers but a Japanese studio handling the animation.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's an all-CG thing though, although the Jeager's are definitely going to be CG one way or another.

After Uprising I was willing to write off any version of the franchise not including del Toro in some capacity (the original film is a favorite if mine) .... but, hey, I'll give it a chance.
