Ugh. I just love Ms. Dormer and I wanted to give her a film to stretch out and ride that line between fierce and malevolent. I'd forgotten she was Private Lorraine. I'm so sold on her as a likable, charismatic bitch Emma Frost. Who would you suggest?
Well, we'll see what happens, but IMHO... Mystique, Rogue, and Destiny would all appear in a Captain Marvel sequel, with Rogue ending up at Xavier's in a mid credit scene. We wouldn't have either in an X-Men movie until Inferno, when orphan Nightcrawler realizes he's the center of the biggest, most screwed up family ever.
No comment ;-)
I do think Dakota's got more talent than fifty shades suggested.
I'm not convinced shes gonna spend alot of time on earth. I think shes gonna play more heavily into the cosmic stuff. You can work Maria and Monica and her visiting them into that but it's hard to work and Mystique and Rogue subplot into a movie that probaly spend alot of time elsewhere. Could be wrong but yea thave alot of earthbound heroes and Fiegie said they gonna lean heavier into the cosmic side going forward.
Funny thing as I'm typing this Netflix played a clip of patriot act with Hasan Minaj and he said Rogue from the Xmen. Lol wasnt paying attention so I don't know the context. Just made me giggle
No Fifty shades of...actress, please!
As I always say, for the moment I have two actresses for Jean Grey, depending on the age they want her to be.
Maya Hawke:

And Jane Levy:

My deal with Jean Grey is that her actresses either play her as unstable, a split personality, or a victim.
I would prefer an actress that can convey anger from impatience, fury from indignation, malevolence from frustration. The Phoenix needs to burst from an unleashed woman, not seep out like a personality tic.
I agree. Dakota Johnson seems like capable actress. It's not her fault Fifty Shades is rubbish.
And as for casting Emma Frost, my pick would be Sarah Gadon.

Hollywood Reporter, um, reports that Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool is likely the only Fox Marvel property that will remain as it is. The rest of the X-Men and Fantastic Four are getting rebooted. R-Rated Deadpool movies will still be made but might be released under a different banner.
It's nothing we haven't heard before, but the big thing going in Deadpool's favor is consistent critical and financial approval.
I think Hailee Steinfeld would be great as Rogue.
Captain Marvel is about to make a billion dollars. Their not going to feed her to rogue like they did in the 70s when she was a nobody.
