Looks like Fox will be left alone to run itself. Alan Horn might not be overseeing Fox. Fox might be reporting to Iger. Sorry that’s hard to make out, so here is the website address. You have to scroll down a few pages.

Which everyone has said since day one the only thing changing at Fox is Marvel will get their IPs back and Lucasfilms the mixed up rights with OG Star Wars. Everything else will be business as usual just like with Miramax and Dimension films was under Disney.

Getting the Marvel Properties are a nice bonus but Disney bought Fox for their library of content/IPs and name. I get if someone is a big XCU fan and they worry what will happen with the X-Properties under Marvel Studios and the MCU. But everything else like Avatar, Die Hard, Predator, Aliens, and etc will go on unchanged as will Fox Studios except some job lost due to redundancy.

Well we don’t know what going to happen. Fox will remain as a saparate studio, if things go unchanged, like you said, the X-Men might stay with Fox.

I think Disney has greater interest in Avatar,They Already have World of Pandora. I think they are going to be very hands on with that IP

Disney will end up going to war with James Cameron. James worships his craft, he has a difficult reputation in the business but at least he is very talented, no chance he will ever play by the Disney guidelines. X-Men playing by the Disney guidelines is what is going to make MCU X-men movies inferior to the other movies. Cameron is having none of that . Can you imagine Disney telling Cameron to follow a guideline, not to direct his own effects? Didn't he slam MCU moves in the past?

Deadpool might and maybe some other stuff Feigie dont want. But if u think Feigie doesnt want the Xmen in the MCU your crazy. And Bob Iger said it's all gonna be under one house with feigie. Plus the Xmen movies always do ok and some really good like Logan and DOFP but compared to the MCU they arent raking in the big money. But I mean who knows feigie could oversee a separate XCU done by fox. Guarentee if that happens though he reboots them.

Have u not seen Guardians if the Galaxy James Gunn was allowed to run shotgun on whatever he wanted. At this point marvel is giving director insane amount of control. There are Guideline but not many. U need those guideline to protect the continuity of the MCU and make sure everything fits. The director like the russos, Gunn , and other were given alot of freedom and praise marvel for that all the time.

Out of all the 22 MCU movies, GOTG 1 and 2 , Ant-Man 1 and 2 , Spiderman Homecoming, Avengers 2 andThor 3 are the most Disney Marvel movies. They are less marvel and more Disney with tone, writing and style. Gunn could do whatever he wanted as long as Disney liked it. If Gunn had said I wanted GOTG 2 to be like Arrival, It will be a different conversation.

And somehow James Mangold, Bryan Singer and Tim Miller would have never gotten the freedom to move ahead with Logan First Class/DOFP and Deadpool.

All those directors from marvel you mentioned are free in the Disney confinement. Many tried to break out of it others were not given a chance of trying to break away. Joss Whedon, Drew Goddard, Jon Favreau , Louis Leterrier, Ava DuVernay, Patty Jenkins , Alan Taylor and Edgar Wright.

Iger confirmed once the deal is done it only makes sense for all of Marvel to be under one roof and Feige has also confirmed this.

Of course with Disney over seeing things they likely will take a big hand on whats developed for a number of those franchises. In the case of Predator , Die Hard and Aliens...all 3 were ran pretty badly at the end. So with bigger bosses looking at things they likely will explore ways to make the reboots of said films work.

There is nothing to go War over .Cameron wants to make Avatar 4 & 5. Disney would love Avatar to be a big franchise vain of the Star Wars. Both of them want Avatar to be really big. Cameron needs someone to write those big checks for Avatar movies and Disney wants sell Avatar Merch and Avatar land.

You know what would be awesome down the line? We haven't really seen any dark alternate universes or future in the MCU. Imagine if one entire phase (that lasted 2 years and 6 movies) would be Age of Apocalypse. You start with the Alpha Age of apocalypse movie. And then Black Panther 5 or Doctor strange 4 or Wolverine 2, etc, all take place in the Age of apocalypse timeline, just like mini series do. It all ends with the last event movie, Omega age of apocalypse. People would be so excited after the first movie to see how Black Panther is in that universe, or Iron Man, or any of their favorite heroes. What happened to them? You could even bring back some dead heroes (like from Endgame) which would still be alive in this universe (like maybe Cap leading the x-men or something totally bunker!). The hype would be pretty big!
Obviously this won't happen any time soon (or might never happen) but it would be such an interesting way to make a phase. I could see them doing that with Hickman's Secret wars too. It could be so original and so different from everything else.
