    Agreed.

As for I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus, I don't believe I had heard the song up to that time. If I had, I would have figured things out fairly quickly.

Never believed in Santa. Santa doesn't light the Menorah.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

Santa stuff. I'm not going to delve into the history of things, I will just state that we never celebrated Christmas.

Homes my side of the world don't need or use chimneys, and the people aren't about the Santa lies. Santa was always a fun fairy tale.

Oh, we thought of that before we were in school. My parents told us, since Santa was magical, he could open doors if a chimney wasn't available for him. Worked for us!

Huh. Good question. I think the baby stuff came first, but since I have younger siblings my mother kept up the Santa Claus charade for some time. I do remember being 8 and still believing in SC, but that year at school my classmates were all like, there ain't no Santa Claus! So there was a disconnect for me: who should I believe, my mom or my pals at school?

I have a vague memory but probably at the age of 6 from a school friend who was a bit of a potty mouth and plus we had the premium channel The Move Channel so I'd see lots of unsupervised R-rate movies while eating a bowl of corn flakes. good times.

There was nothing like that on TV when I was six in '71, except maybe on NET (PBS) late at night (I know it was the case regarding the latter by the mid '70s ).

Never had any "talk", i learned about how mammals reproduce in primary school.

Never had any human biology classes?

Think i learned about Santa first though. Don't know when exactly. Kids aren't dumb, doesn't usually take them long to figure out there is something fishy about some fat weirdo who would just give toys away.

We had sex education by 7th grade, so everybody knew what was going on by then. It was a fairly new thing in my school at the time (this was 1977).

My siblings and I never believed in the Stork. We all knew we came out of "Mommy's tummy."

BTW, did anybody see Miracle on 34th Street when he or she still believed in the chubby old elf? I saw it after I stopped believing, but if I had seen it before then, I don't understand how I would still have believed. IMO, that's a film that should be seen after the fact.
