UGH! ALL of those titles sound like rubbish. More expensive...$4.99+/number ones are the new legacy numbering...rubbish.

Brisson said Extermination started out as an event where there was a killer hunting down alt-reality members, but it got changed along the way when they focus shifted more to the O5.

Is Age of X-man an event? Or is it the name of the new Era like Ressurxion?

I think it's an event more like the original AoA with it's own line of AU books. The original AoA event completely took over the X-Men line for like 4 or 5 months before it shifted back to normal with a handful of changes and additional au characters crossing over like X-Man, Sugarman, Dark Beast, and Holocaust.

Wow, this Age of X event is even bigger than I thought it would be. It looks like Marvel is trying to mirror Age of Apocalypse with this. Given how successful that was back in the day, I don't blame them. But I feel as though this could end up being as divisive as House of M was. I hope it doesn't get quite that messy, but I think if done right, this could be really something.

So, the X-Books claw their way back up through Marvel's self-sabotage to their rightful prominence, and get their titles cleaned-up, only for the X-writers/X-office to immediately crash the plane into the nostalgia mountain - complete with more re-titling and renumberation.

Makes total sense.
