Default Should marvel bring back "Avengers Spotlight/ Solo Avengers"?

Should marvel bring this book back with single stories about classic avengers like black knight, starfox, machine man, great lakes avengers, us agent, stingray, captain universe, and tigra? Would be a nice way of using avengers that are no longer in the title.

Well of course they should. There are a boatload of Avengers and former Avengers who do not have their own series, but who deserve to be seen on occasion.

If they kept it to people who didn't have Solos, sure.

Personally I'm not a fan of team books. A solo might push a character I never really cared about, into the care about camp.

Might be that way for others.

I would buy it without doubt (as long as it doesn't feature characters that have already solos)

Oh yeah I think that would help especially with the New Avengers run we lost a few characters that were really cool in Uncanny, USAvengers, Occupy Avengers and even some of the Avengers Academy or Avengers Initative cast would be great to see.

    Anthology books are a mistake.

Simply and beautifully stated. So many characters deserve to be seen.

Who guard their over bloated paucities of power with money. With false reasoning. With measured hesitance. With prideful, recalcitrant inaction. With hateful invective. With weapons. I would love this so much! I was disappointed Marvel Two-In-One and Tales Of Suspense didn't end up being anthology series, and I'm glad to see Marvel Comics Presents seems to be actually going that way. There are so many under-utilized characters I feel would benefit so much from having little one-shot adventures. Like another poster said, it would be the perfect excuse to give more attention to all the New Avengers characters and the other teams that have been disbanded recently.

I won't mind seeing a book focusing on the non-avengers, especially when there is now only one main team

I'd like to see it but all of the stories would have to be consistently well done with solid writers and artists. Random fill ins would sink this series fast.

As long as stories are good and thought-out with good art. I hate it when they make "minor books" full of horrible stories that do not add anything with art making the characters unrecognizable.

they could launch this with some arcs written by C. Priest, with a top notch artist, that could build some good momentum for the series.

It would make more sense to me than putting out a solo book for a character you know can't carry a solo. The main problem books like Solo Avengers/Avengers Spotlight and Marvel Comics Presents have is most of the time they don't get the big name talent on them. The books get used to try out new talent and it makes the book feel like a throwaway project. If they could get big name talent to do arcs I think books like these could succeed.

Agreed. If both art & writing are similar to the first year of Solo Avengers, then bringing it back might be a good idea.
