After God Butcher I switched off with Aaron’s run abit.
Can someone sort of explain the basics of this war? I understand Malekith is behind it, but has he got reasons?
Is there anything more to it than just a war?

Aaron wrote this really dark Malekith origin story about his childhood and then how he learned magic and got his face marked, but it's basically that war ruined and dominated Malekith's life, so peace makes him feel like his life was worthless and everything he went through was for nothing. So to give his life meaning, he's been plotting the greatest war of all time. Because that's all that he believes can make him happy.

Malekith, the new Kurse, and the Dark Elves have squadded up with Ulik and the Trolls, Laufey and the Frost Giants, Enchantress and Loki (but Loki's gonna heel), Surtur's daughter Cindr and all her Muspelheim hell monsters, all of the angels of Heven, and Roxxon along with their CEO Dario Agger. Over the course of the past six years he's been assembling this group while conquering others like the Light Elves and the Dwarves.

Indeed a synopsis is not easy at this point, and there is a lot going on under the surface too. I have high hopes for this.
