Yes.
Only Sam and Illyana have notable X-Men runs. Magma flying around in the background doesn't count. Not even those few issues of X-Treme feel like enough, nor Shan's Astonishing run. And Dani and Roberto in particular have been robbed.

Let the flames destroy all but that which is pure and true!
That's because y'all are only counting UXM and XM. Only Karma and Magma have been super-robbed. Doug was dead and done.
By that logic, every mutant who was alive during the Utopia days is considered an X-Man... including the New X-Men.
Let the flames destroy all but that which is pure and true!
I think the problem is that the New Mutants and Generation X members never got demoted from X-Man status like the X-Kids have. NXM fans always bring up that Armor and Pixie have been X-Men, but are currently being treated as nothing more than students who need to be constantly protected.
No one is gonna sit here and put Monet in an X-trainee suit. But it would be funny to see someone try.
The New Mutants and Kitty still wear trainers more often than not.

Well, they wear outfits that are reminiscent of their old trainee outfits while still being distinct. And even if they were still wearing their trainee suits from the 80's, they are still treated by the senior staff as X-Men that they can call on. New X-Men don't have that anymore.
Well they were but the New MUtants were the only official X-men squad during that era. Uncanny didnt have an official lineup. It was Cyclops, Emma, Wolverine and rotated between dozens of mutants whom Fraction used simultaneously. Legacy was a stealth Rogue solo. X-force was a secret satelite group. Generation Hope which came later was focused on the kids. New Mutants when it launched was the only book for a time with an actual official team of characters which were considered X-men. Their status was undeniable
whats more ridiculous is that we actually saw most of them graduate only to go back to being students incapable of being left alone unsupervised

At this juncture of their development, I prefer to see it like this: MOST of the youths at the Institute -- those we've read and treasured in stories past -- have "graduated" (from school) but are currently in "continued education" for hero work aka being an X-Man. I'd LIKE to believe that the reason so many of the youths are routinely UNUSED in the field is a combination of guilt over what they've all been put through, that they don't want to endanger them, while also falling in line with the school's policy about young combatants.
Obvs it sucks because we want those stories. Badly.
But that's how I explain away the whole "but they graduated" thing. School education and heroing education are two separate things.
Anyways... really looking forward to all of this being explored in Uncanny. Super hungry for it. Give 'em hell, Hisako!
They might not be high school kids anymore(depending on how much time has passed), but in what world would they be the equal peers of the veteran X-Men? 20 year olds(at best) are just not going to be as experienced as 30 year olds.

They are overqualified for the job. Wayyyyyyyy overqualified.
They don't need to be as experienced as Storm or Cyclops, they are already competent enough to hold their own against Nimrods, Bastion, the Purifiers, Limbo demon hordes, Belasco, the Facility, Sentinels, Horsemen of Apocalypse, and whatever monster of the week Utopia had.
