Which New X-Man deserves to be on a main team?

A part of me really almost wants a "Second Genesis" style relaunch with most of the Kyle/Yost New X-Men group replacing everybody.

You can say the same for Xavier.

It is not even a question. Dozens of Hellions. Synch. Dozens of Academy kids. Telepathic rape and abuse on the regular. Setting a horse on fire. Come on.

You should read some of the older issues with Xavier. He was more than willing to sacrifice the lives of children for his own ideals.

I'd rather have them in a team with some New Mutants and Gen Xers than with the old X-Men.

If Roberto gto as much respect as in Avengers, I'd like him to build a team made of all those kids who were scamed into believing they would be the next X-Men.
A team that wouldn't take orders from Scott, Ororo or Kitty. A team that would deal with high level threats, and not just Blob or Sauron.

many of the younger generation dealt with much bigger threats than even the Xmen were forced to take on let alone at that age.

Not really. The number of kids that died under Xavier can be counted on one hand, except for the horrible retcon that should be ignored. Emma treated her kids like less than fodder. And the vast majority of kid deaths happened under her "watch." Heck, pretty much she alone was responsible for the bus.

The only reason for the "hope you survive" motto is Jean, who had just died 2 issues before, and she died while not being a student. In fact, until that horrible retcon, no students under Xavier had ever died at that point. And Cypher was the only kid afterward, and that was not under Xavier. All other kids were Emma, Emma, Emma.

They already did. As mentioned, most of them have already been X-men as have been the Gen X cast which were mentioned earlier
