The series finale to Angel. I watch it often in fact, at least once a year. Perfect coda.

Yeah, I was really impressed they were able to put together something that encapsulated the show's central theme so well on such short notice.

Saw an interview with the cast. The Network did not want a story conclusion, blaming The Fugitive's finale for tanking interest in re-runs. Farrell pointed out that the audience was unlikely to be surprised to learn The Korean War ended.

Which is ironic, because in reality the Korean Warn never really ended.

Both Star Trek: TNG and DS9 had tear-jerker finales for me.

The less said about the finales of Voyager and Enterprise, the better...

I hear ya, i watched recently the last episode of Enterprise and to be honest my first comment on it was just : "what were they thinking?".

The network was always known for being kinda crazy. Alda joked that for years the network was so cheap they didn't have a telephone there on the mountain and they'd have to travel into town to make calls. Then there was the deal where Alda and the cast nearly went on strike over them removing peanut butter at the tables and they quickly got it back.


CBS leaving it open was them likely trying to convince the cast to come back for a 12th season possibly. But then had to change gears as we saw once Alda refused
