Captain America and Bucky enter Overlord(2018)

This is MCU Cap and Bucky (1942)

They must follow through the mission in Overlord(2018)

-They start at the entrance to the base and know about the serum. The whole building is awake and roided.

-Cap has his Shield, a Pistol, and a Grenade.

-Bucky has a AK-74, a Pistol and 3 Grenades.

Can They Destroy The Base?

Cap should be fine here. I'd argue he's stronger than the Zombies and he's got more skill and control of himself. They can take a lot of damage but it's not anything Cap can't handle. Even the Super Zombie Boss would be perfectly vulnerable to his magic shield.
Adding in The Winter Soldier would just make it an even bigger slaughter.

Cap and WS are good, but the whole building is roided? That's like 40+ dudes. 40+ superhuman zombie dudes, who will tank the gunfire like nothing. I am not liking their odds.

One thing is for sure Wafner is a better Redskull then MCU Redskull.

Only experimental or unwilling subjects were out of control, since Wafner retained his memories and personality completely after injecting himself. He was basically a nascent zombie Red Skull. Even the storage zombies Wafner released to show the future Reich Army were rather collected looking as well after they woke up.

This scenario is way more complicated than in the movie.

The movie's heroes lucked into discovering the zombie research while it was still ongoing and the Arnim Zola scientist wasn't confident enough yet to release zombie operatives into the open, and they barely won after they successfully lured most of the still human soldiers out of the base, and one of them still had to become basically zombie Captain America and sacrifice himself.

This scenario means the serum isn't just fully tested but an entire base filled with its loyal, intelligence-retaining subjects is operational enough to play a key role in D-day, and Cap and Bucky are already inside and so is everybody else. 1942 Bucky is interchangeable with Overlord's heroes.

Cap and Bucky would ditch the guns if they alredy knew what they were dealing with since gunshots wouldn't just give their location away but also be a distraction anyway not only for them shooting but also the Nazis they would be shooting, since even the mindless, mutilated zombie Chloe survived was shot in the head three times at point blank and still got up to chase after her, he needed to be extensively flamethrowered, John Carpenter Thing style, to stay down.

And the grenades could be useful to clear space and stuff but Wafner got up from a propane tank explosion at his feet, Bucky and Cap are better off saving those (and whatever else they could gather inside) to blow the radio tower up as quickly as possibly, since it doesn't look like they have here the C4 charges with detonator that Ford and company brought.

And they might be stronger especially with the shield and metal arm but the zombies strength isn't meaningless either. Overpowering regular humans in general, crushing a metal canteen unintentionally while drinking from it, headbutting a house wooden beam in two. And they all carry weapons to go with that strength, and since the whole base is injected, even Zola carried a pistol. And if they realize quickly enough how effective the shield is against gunfire, two of the zombies are also going to hurry down and get the flamethrowers up into what's mostly a narrow corridors, low ceilings battleground.

And then there's their resistance to body damage, like shrugging off gunfire in general, or impalement, or how the photographer soldier convulsed himself hard enough he broke his own neck and ribs, then was machine-gunned intended as a mercy kill, and still got up and had to have his entire head bashed into the ground with a blunt weapon. There was some faster than human healing shown too, Ford's meat hook wound was visibly closing after he injected himself with the serum, even if it's not something as extensive or mid-battle quick as Wolverine's.

Not saying Cap and metal arm Bucky shouldn't be able to replicate the entire head bashing if not outright decapitation required to more efficiently deal with single zombies, just that unlike in the movie the zombies would likely be patrolling with other zombies and/or within earshot of even more zombies and if they don't already also know where exactly to go to in order to destroy the tower, they should go as full Solid Snake stealthy about it and let the wall of angry, superstrong shooting zombies brawl until the very end. Even if the zombie driving the tank has nothing to do about this outside of the base.
