I don't get why they wouldn't just name a Court of Owls adaptation Court of Owls. They want to help sell graphic novels right?

While Batman is busy with the Court, Damian goes back with his mother and gets that chip implanted in him that let's Talia control Damian. I don't think Dick is the Robin they're talking about here.
I would agree with this assessment, maybe throw Deathstroke into the mix because DC is pushing him at the moment.

I quit buying DC's animated movies.

Wait...so now DC animated movies have own continuity now? I still have yet to watch Batman & Son.

Not too sure about this new approach of loosely based CoO or BvR

Why's that, then? I don't blame you of course as I myself only buy the rare Batman titles as that is the only animated superhero series I am interested in. But no, I have not seen Son of Batman.

I like "Son of Batman". No Tim Drake in it.

Yeah it started with JL:War and 2/3 films every year will be in continuity.
I personally enjoyed SoB. It was fun.

Maybe there's elements of Morrison's Batman in it? The Court of Owls wasn't exactly very original in its plotline so maybe the writers just switched Leviathan for the Court.

Either way after Son of Batman my expectations are low.

I don't care for the ones set in the New 52. I have every movie released up until Flashpoint. Judging from what I've been reading I'm not missing much.

Per James Tucker, "Batman vs. Robin" is NOT based on the Court of Owls.

Oh and in other misreported news, Batman vs Robin is NOT an adaptation of The Court of Owls storyline. Sheesh

Wasn't original reporting that it would "feature" the Court, rather than be based on the Snyder/Capullo story? That certainly got a bit twisted in the telling.

I've been keeping my mouth shut, but I had a feeling this would turn out to be incorrect information.

    Thank goodness.

I would hate to think they would skip over so much of Damian's history just to get to Court of Owls.

It will be interesting to see what exactly makes it into this adaptation.

I'm hoping that it leads into Incoporated, which kinda makes sense.

With Damian returning, it seems like a good idea to retell the tale of his death in animated form, so that we can see his return in the same format once it has happened on page.

    Cash in, right?

Still, with a title like Batman vs Robin I wonder if they are even going to touch on any of the Morrison run. Maybe it will be like his Batman and Robin but just with Bruce instead of Dick, and they could introduce the Court of Owls elements to set up future movies. This has the potential to get really messy. After Batman and Son my expectations are low.

    That's a relief.

Wonder what it will be though. Obviously some kind of sequel to Son.
