Default Thanksgiving - the best themed movies, episodes, books, comix, songs, etc

Let's face it: in America, Thanksgiving has been swallowed whole by Christmas. It's basically thought of as Pre-Xmas in the States.

    And that's not right.

Thanksgiving is its own thing, completely separate from both Christmas and Halloween, despite being sandwiched between the two bigger holidays.

And, disturbing genocidal implications of this holiday's origin notwithstanding, let's celebrate the best of the theme throughout all media!

Tell us your best/favorite Thanksgiving themed

    1. Movie

    2. TV episode

    3. Song

    4. Cartoon

    5. Book

    6. Comic Book Issue

    7. Football Game

    8. Other (memes, etc)

Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate it this week!

    Gobble-gobble!

I don't know if you can call this the best, but Wednesday Addams' sabotage of the Summer Camp Thanksgiving presentation was hilarious!

While it's not specifically Thanksgiving focus, the Movie/Mini Series Over the Garden Wall is a fantastic representation of Fall.

Nothing can beat this as the all time greatest Thanksgiving themed episode of TV ever. WKRP was such a great show.

I was always partial to Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving Special.

We got to see Franklin, Peppermint Patty and Marcie.

"Good old Chuck" hosted Thanksgiving at his house for friends who had no where to go to dinner. Even Snoopy and Woodstock helped.

Then we see everyone get into the station wagon to go to Chuck's Grandmother's house for a real Thanksgiving dinner ( which he says is really a condo.)

There was this issue of Lobdell and Romita Jr.s X-Men where they are raking leaves and get into a leaf fight just before they sit down to Thanksgiving dinner. I wish I could remember the number.

    Ah, found it. I just did a search. It's Uncanny X-Men 308.

    Best/ Favorite Thanksgiving themed song?

Hmmmm ... boy, I am drawing a big ol' blank here.

I wanna say something by Adam Sandler ... nope, wait, I'm thinking of his awesome "Chanukah Song", which is not referencing Thanksgiving at all.

I guess there is also his much LESS awesome "Thanksgiving Song", but I never cared for it.

    Any other options here?

As for Thanksgiving episodes, that WKRP episode was before my time, so I guess I'll say I thoroughly enjoyed every Thanksgiving episode the sitcom FRIENDS had, especially the flashback shows.
