So, the "Age of X-Man" 'verse is continually described as a Utopia, and heavily features a strong military presence in spite of the whole "peace" thing.
I think Nate is trying to create Cyclops' dream world.
Also, to keep a good thing going:
Wolverine: Scott can have Jean.
Ommadon: “By summoning all the dark powers I will infest the spirit of man So that he uses his science and logic to destroy himself. Greed and avarice shall prevail, and those who do not hear my words shall pay the price. I'll teach man to use his machines, I'll show him what distorted science can give birth to. I'll teach him to fly like a fairy, and I'll give him the ultimate answer to all his science can ask. And the world will be free for my magic again.”
Seanan McGuire has said on Twitter that the Cuckoos will also be appearing in the Nightcrawler book. https://twitter.com/seananmcguire/st...53463761625088
I really want to like McGuire's comics (she seems super enthusiastic and like a huge X-Men fan), but they keep putting her on books I don't really have any interest in.
this age of x-man doesn't seem very attractive to me.
I will stick to uncanny i've wanted Cyclops/Wolverine to work together, without schism, side by side for so long.

The X-Men don't need any specific group of characters to succeed, and Logan's already been around these past through years through OML. There was a lot of great stuff throughout these past 3 years in the X-Line, but unfortunately there were also consistently the biggest editorial bungles I've seen from Marvel this decade.
