Speaking of Walter Hill movies that had a great soundtrack, Streets Of Fire in not to be overlooked.
And the album delivered all the songs I cared for. This is one of them, composed by Jim Steinman.

I saw the trailer for this movie and immediately fell in love with this soundtrack. Wanted to watch the film, but our local theater didn't play it. So, I tracked down the album. I listen to it quite often. Hazel O'Connor was perfect in her role. Kind of disappeared later.

And the other tune from the movie is very different from the rest of the songs.
I also consider it to have one of the best Sax solo's in Rock music.

I remember when I first saw this movie on TV. It was the summer of 1980 and I was just a kid. When I heard the opening song and saw the cartoon credits I was floating on air and was enthralled from beginning to end. The intro really grabs you.
Frankie Valli - Grease is the Word
The Color Purple - score from final scene. Music composed by Quincy Jones
If this doesn't move you, you have no soul.
I do think this song was way overplayed in the 90s. I still enjoy it, though.
Many versions of this song, but I like this the most.
Definitely resonates a lot with me. Reminds me a lot of NYC, especially throughout the 2000s when I was a college and grad school student there.
"I am a man of peace."
"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."
Thanks everyone! Keep it up!
When my mother and I saw this in the Theater this song came on during the credits and we both started tearing up.
As much as people harp on Snyder's Superman, I still like them. And I especially like the music.
This, plus "Ideal of Hope" are my favorites and really reignited my interest in Superman.
"I am a man of peace."
"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."
The soundtrack prompted me to watch the movie.
