Bram Stoker's Dracula soundtrack is one of my faves. So hauntingly dark and emotional.
For those who like to analyze these types of musical themes - its longish but worthwhile:
Superman theme versus the Batman theme is pretty interesting.
Every day is a gift, not a given right.

Wow....never saw this thread before. And not one mention of Bernard Herrmann??? Collaborator of Orson Welles and Hitchcock?
Before he died in 1975, he completed two soundtracks. One was for an early Brian De Palma film called "Obsession". The other one was Taxi Driver. Both were nominated for an Academy Award but both lost to Jerry Goldsmith's score for "The Omen", which also was very effective but IMO not as good as either of the Herrmann nominees. "Taxi Driver" is very much jazz influenced whereas Obsession is more of a classic Hitchcock film score, suitable for a film that De Palma made as a sort of homage to the director's "Vertigo"

Alfred Hitchcock - Director
Score by Bernard Herrmann
From the movie Velvet Goldmine, the song "The Ballad of Maxwell Demon". In the film it's performed by Brian Slade who is a fictional version of David Bowie. In real life it was written by the band Shudder To Think
It's basically "All The Young Dudes" which makes sense considering...

I'm not sure if I already replied to this thread, but I love film scores. Bram Stoker's Dracula is one of my favorites.
