Well, as Peter Parker would say, "it's crazy pants". Hank and Janet have a daughter. Hank hands the Ant-Man to Scott Lang. Somehow, another villain is the Yellow Jacket, not Hank. I hope Hank made Ultron. I guess that's not right either? Movieverse Marvel Heroes are way off the mark.

If you want a literal translation of the comics then yes. But based on or inspired by gives some wiggle room.

Given DD is going to Netflix that movie was probably never going to happen.

    Yes, too sweeping a statement.

This is how I feel to be a Hank Pym fan right now:

Uh oh... remember what Janet told Wanda about having kids.

I wonder if 616 Janet abandoned hers...

I see what you mean, but you have to admit the history this movie's production has makes it quite a marvel unto itself.

It seems to me that it’s almost inevitable that Hope Van Dyne will be the Wasp in the MCU. I’m sure she’ll be very much like the Janet Van Dyne character from the comics, to the point where – personality wise – they’ll be the same. Her MCU look will thereafter likely just be applied to Janet in the comics.

So how Lo until Hank Pym comes into contact with some magical aging serum by accident and ages a few decades?

I'm pretty sure that'd be the end for me with comics.

Maybe he saves Cap by taking some of the years off his life.
