Based on every appearance of his so far, here's what we know:
-he has some sort of demonic abilities, most specifically related to centipedes
-he knows Peter "better than he does"
-he's responsible for Mysterio being resurrected
-"knows what it's like to be in another man's shadow"
-he makes a deal with Mendrel Stromm to unleash a horde of Sentinels on the city, only to kill him immediately
-uses "Guess my name" as a warning call to Spider-Man
-has made dealings with Wilson Fisk sometime in the past
-tells him "the roommate" is off limits to Fisk (without also mentioning who he actually is)
-doesn't want anything Fisk could offer him
-is pissed that Peter told Felicia his secret
My sources can now confirm that Centipede is Andrew Garfield.
It's got to be. The "knows what it's like to be in another man's shadow" almost sounds like Ben Reilly, Kaine or another clone but that is too obvious and also makes little sense. Another possibility which fits would be Jason Macdendale (sp?), as he was in the shadow of the real Hobgoblin, but he never knew Peter's secret identity or Spider-Man that well in general.

"So you've come to the end now alive but dead inside."
Macendale was in the Sinister Syndicate back in the day - would explain a connection with Boomerang. Also, being in someone else's shadow. Knowing Peter and "guess my name" as clues can be "No Prize-d" but aren't obvious clues to Macendale. I'm partial to Lily Hollister as the new Demogoblin (although she fits those clues equally poorly).
What about The Rose (original recipe)? He'd know Boomerang and has dealt with Kingpin, probably Stromm. Guess my name could be a play on "Name of the Rose" or "what's in a name ..." (a bit of a stretch, admittedly). Totally lost on the centipede/demonic part, but that doesn't obviously apply to anyone I can think of (it can be a part of the explanation for the resurrection, tho)

I thought about Ned, but it seems like Spencer would be spotlighting Betty more if that's the direction he was going (kind of why I'm on the Lily Hollister beat - I think Carlie was brought back not just because she'd be a good avenue to introduce the superhero support group)
ETA: If it's someone back from the dead, I think it makes sense if the demonic aspects are part of the resurrection (and the ability to bring back Mysterio) - we know how Ned came back and it doesn't seem to fit with that, although I guess you could retcon Ben's Clone tech having some sort of demonic aspect and that's why he was involved in Damnation

The plot of these last couple of issue was so basic (and silly, actually) it was almost Marvel Super-Hero Adventures-level ("Someone's stealing our hero's best gadget! Can Spidey and Black Cat get them back!!!). But it didn't even matter because the character moments with MJ, Spider-Man, and Black Cat were just so pitch-perfect. MJ's "confession" about why she loved Peter Parker was especially moving. Nick Spencer is earning back some trust. Kudos.
