I like the idea that the 'big bruiser' looking guy isn't necessarily the team strong-guy, that it's actually the much less 'brick' looking Hope. It's fun to mess with first impressions and have the slender girl be the 'strong one' (like Molly Hayes, over in the Runaways, very much not *obviously* the 'team Hulk'), or the big muscle-bound person be a blaster or a mentalist or something, with little or no superhuman strength.

Also with her diamond form Hope should have some sharp edges to allow her to pierce and slash away, and not just bludgeon like the Thing.

I'm a little disappointed that Iceberg can apparently make iceslides like Iceman.

Makes sense that he can do that, as Jack Frost, who he's based on, made ice bridges.

So far Iceberg and Hope have yet to be seen in un-mutated forms. I wonder they’re stuck in them.

Probably. No different to Thing and Bling! in that respect.

So I have to wonder if we will ever see these four again after today’s FF issue.

Did Slott originally have further plans for this team ??

I wonder if a spin-off title was planned, but the failure of the Future Foundation title meant that Fantastix was scrapped.

I think you may be right... and then Covid probably made matters worse. Still, i would have like to have seen Fantastix living on another floor of the Baxter instead of just bailing.

Yeah, the opportunity and offer was right there, too...
