The above is why I grade 0-10. Lol.
I'm giving it a B so far.
I'm liking the characters and their interactions, the issues with Peter and Boomerang in the bar were incredibly fun, Pete and MJ are back together again, the partners' support group. All good.
However, his arcs feel a bit rushed. Spidey and Peter are split into two separate entities, there is a lot to explore her... No, wait, they're back together again through the magic of dropping a machine on them. There is a secret organisation of thieves dating back centuries, what mysteries can we slowly learn... Nevermind, Spidey's outed them with a phone.
I like that he's using different lengths for his stories and it feels a little less predicable than getting to part 5 and knowing it'll all wrap next issue, but the endings do feel rushed to me.
However, I can live with this when this is weighed against the good. The redemption of Felicia, tying losing her way into her memories being altered was a great idea to solidify her turning 'good' again, and then having Peter trust her enough to unmask was perfect. And MJ is okay with it was the icing on the cake!
And we have a mystery villain lurking about and, in one way or another, that's a staple of many decent Spider-man runs.
Also, like Slott before him, Spencer is showing a love for the absurd parts of the Spidey mythos. Who ever thought we'd see the Tri-Sentinal again? Heck, who even knew they wanted that until it happened?!? I know I didn't, but I loved every second of it.
