    Default How bright is Kryptonite?

Because in Heroes in Crisis, Harley uses it as a flashbang.

I don't know for sure... but I always thought there was some brilliance to it. Not necessarily giving off light like a flashlight mind you, but glowing perhaps.

Well in the movies it glows a bit, and more when near a Kryptonian (see Batman's spear).

It really depends on the chunk of kryptonite in question, I guess, because we've seen some that glows like a torch and some that barely has a luster.

In the same way minerals can be various degrees of radioactive I just figure kryptonite has varying degrees too, and it glows brighter depending on how irradiated it is. Seems like pretty solid comic book logic, right?

That also explains how Metallo can have a five pound chunk in his chest and Clark can power through it and still fight (more or less), but Lex can have a tiny sliver made into a ring that'll put Clark down and leave him helpless.
