I think they (along with many other celebrities) also appeared on the Neal Adams Superman v Ali cover
I'm surprised DC having the license, the Sweathogs never crossed over with the actual DC, or had an issue where they became Super-Sweathogs?
I could see them as sort of proto-planeteers or F4 type elementals.
Barbarino - Fire
Washington - Earth
Epstein - Water
Horshack - Air
and Kotter as their Captain Planet/Infinity analogue.

Another oddball ad. This one for THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD 65 and BATMAN 180, also promotes Scooter's debut in March 1966. But would that be in an issue of SHOWCASE or his own title? The ad is misleading. Scooter didn't actually show up in SHOWCASE in March of that year and you had to wait until April for his first issue.
But not to fear, the Inferior Five were here to appear in that month's SHOWCASE, in their first try-out issue.
And just because you can never get enough Scooter, an ad for SWING WITH SCOOTER No. 2, on sale June 26th, 1966--or June 7th?--Mike's Newsstand says the 26th but the ad promises the 7th.

Ads like this
and this from 1977
that would appear individually in DC mags* and Marvel comics were all collected together in the SUPERHERO MERCHANDISE CATALOG. I used to get all the issues of this catalog (and multiple copies) in the mail, without asking for it. I seem to have ended up on their mailing list, on account of ordering stuff from DC. The ads were all done by the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art.
*[note how I always avoid saying "DC comics" to avoid being redundant]
**[and note how I couldn't avoid being redundant in using avoid twice when one avoid would have done quite nicely]

How is it that I can't put a smilie in a post with three images and I have to take the smilie out to get the three images in, but other posters seem not to have this problem and can smile away, smile away, smile away.

I have the same issue.
I believe one way is uploading to and having the image hosted in this site, rather than direct image linking, allows for more than three. (although that makes them smaller seen as thumbnails)
However I think that 4th smilie you are seeing above is in his [The Darknight Detective's] signature, which apparently doesn't count as one.?

Wow I never even knew that ^ existed? Never had a subscription or had ordered anything from comics directly in the mail, so hadn't seen one. I don't think I could have handled knowing that catalog existed.
All that imagery of both Marvel and DCU characters splashed across the page together (at best we had the Mego ads)
Look at that kid ^, has anyone ever dreamed so joyfully? LOL!
And LOL the Stan Lee T. Way back already the consummate Funky Flashman
