THE CBR COMMUNITY STANDARDS & RULES ~ So... what's your excuse now?
As I've probably said many times before, the Go-Go Checks were on all the comics, when I first started to buy them in 1966. As far as I knew, DC never had anything else on their covers. And when I was in Mrs. Ryan's drugstore (who wouldn't let us touch the comics without paying for them), it was the Go-Go Checks I looked for, because those were the comics I liked best. I don't think I even called them Go-Go Checks back then. They were the checkerboard comics.

Didn't know dc did a hot wheels comic. I know they did mask, welcome back kotter, he-man, kissyfur, and rainbow brite.
Checkmate from 87?

HOT WHEELS was done by Alex Toth and it's one of those runs I've always wanted to get my hands on. But the back issues seem pricey.
They did do a short run of CAPTAIN ACTION in 1968 - 69 and I have got all those comics.
Dr evil? Is mni me in there also?

1975 for the 1976 DC calendar
1977 for the 1978 DC calendar
1985 for the 1986 DC calendar
For toys, perhaps my greatest joy and my greatest regret was Major Matt Mason, who had his own comics story and ad at the centre of September 1967 cover dated DC issues. In fact, DC had planned to put out a comic book title for this guy, too. But the toy sales fell fast before DC got the chance. If any kids had my experience with Major Matt, the downward slide in sales might have been due to the fact that the toys fell apart after one day of use.
I got Matt himself, the jet propulsion pak, the space crawler and the moon suit all for Christmas that year and none of it stood up. The jet pack ran on a string that got tangled and wouldn't work. Matt's body was rubber with wire running through it and his arms soon fell off. And the other stuff made of hard plastic cracked and broke. But gosh that ad made him look so awesome. If I had to guess, I'd say Ken Bald did the comics art.
