Default The Gifted episode 9 - gaMe changer (Spoilers)

Synopsis: Tensions within the Inner Circle are at an all-time high, as Andy comes to Rebecca's defense against Reeva. After making an important discovery about Dr. Risman's research, Lauren convinces Reed and Caitlin that they must take action to destroy it. Frustrated with not being taken seriously, Jace begins to strategize with the Purifiers. Meanwhile, the Mutant Underground continues to work on saving mutants. However, tensions flare between Blink and Thunderbird as they confront their differences.

This will be the "mid-season finale" which means no new episode for 4 more weeks

Hopefully it is action-packed and fun

    Right?! lol

Also, Shut up, Jace! Mutants are as human as you are and your new friends would attack you for being black just as quickly. This show needs a gay mutant or more POC mutants to drive this point home more.

Keeping it 100, the hellfire club really did screw mutants over though.

Twist did, more than anybody. And so did the MU, just now.

They set everything in motion, but yeah right now the Morlocks are looking like the only right option. Its complicated, but they are all making the wrong choices.

Yeah, you're right. They're each their own worst enemy, in some ways.

Everthing is going bad so fast.It is so entertaining. It is shame Andy didn't fully get that Twist is psycho.

Was... was psycho. Dang, feels like the last half of this ep has REALLY accelerated things, more than the rest of whole season combined.

To be fair, we needed serious build up for this kind of breakdown.

    I love this episode!

I will put down more of my thoughts later but most of this season I was against what the inner circle was doing but the scene with all the mutants being released from the collars make me think the underground is ridiculously optimistic with all those mutants imprisoned.

True enough, and between what happened at the very end of this & what looks to be coming once it returns on New Year's Day, it seems like it'll be well worth it. Mutants nationwide released & unleashed, Thunderbird a Purifier POW, Polaris off the chain(s), an apparent IC schism, and what looks to be NuFenris cometh. The Underground is crumbling, while the Morlocks keep a low profile & bury their heads in the sand, all hail the HellFire Club.

Strong finish to the first half of the season!

Poor Andy. It's sad that he didn't get Twist was too twisted, but love will do that to you. Glad he stopped her though.

Nice to see the Underground make some steps forward, even if it went south. Good intention, but horrible ending for them.

Loved the ending with Polaris and Andy stopping those collars, and Lauren and Noah taking out the doctor's lab.

Thunderbird sacrificing himself kinda reminded me of when he jumped on that plane in the comics. They're doing a wonderful job with him this season.

Also, so much Sage! Happy to see more of her.

I do think its odd that they're changing times though. I don't think the Flash will be on till spring of next year?
