Default Elton John's Farewell Yellow Brick Road

This is neither an ad, nor a plug. It is advice.

Caught Sir Elton's farewell performance tour stop in Birmingham, Alabama. If it's passing near you, drop everything, hock some heirlooms, and go.

We shall not see his like again.

There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

Not a fan, but the new John Lewis advert with him in is excellent. I watched it after a couple of strong gin and tonics and it brought a tear to my eye.

He also did one of the best Christmas songs - Not Step Into Christmas though - this song:

Elton John is not retiring from music or touring. He's no longer gonna do huge world tours anymore. He's said as much. His tours will be smaller deals now. This is his last big mega tour he is doing basically.
"The story so far: As usual, Ginger and I are engaged in our quest to find out what the hell is going on and save humanity from my nemesis, some bastard who is presumably responsible." - Sir Digby Chicken Caesar.
“ Well hell just froze over. Because CM Punk is back in the WWE.” - Jcogginsa.
“You can take the boy outta the mom’s basement, but you can’t take the mom’s basement outta the boy!” - LA Knight.
"Revel in What You Are." Bray Wyatt.

Well, Elton is 70 I do believe. I guess he no longer has the stamina or the desire to do mega tours. Meanwhile, I heard Sir Paul is getting ready to hit the road, ditto for the Rolling Stones.

    He's also adopted two kids.
