Default Favorite Live Action General Zod

I have loved most live action versions of General Zod. My faves are Terence Stamp, Michael Shannon and Krypton's Colin Salmon. I think all 3 of them delivered something truly special and some still are.

It's really hard to choose between Colin Salmon and Shannon, both very interesting and more complex than before, IMO. I think I choose Salmon because I've seen more of him, and he is so intriguing so far. Perfect casting. All of them.

Which one is yours and why?

Stamp all the way. Every line is a comic classic

    "The whole planet...Houston?"

"You will bow down before me Jor-El, first you and then one day your heirs"

    "I win...I always win"

Michael Shannon. He took a somewhat one-dimensional villain and turned him into an actual person with genuine emotion. He also offers some of the best action setpieces in modern superhero movies.

Zod has a great track record in live action. I don’t think we’ve had a bad Zod yet, even the Smallville guy was mostly decent.

Terrence Stamp is whom I think of when you say Zod, but Michael Shannon's Zod was fantastic. Really, his Zod was one of the best comic book movie villains in the last ten years, but that gets overshadowed because the standards audiences set for Superman is a bit unreasonable.

Of Those Listed- Definitely Terrence Stamp.

Also they should be listed but arent- Callum Blue and Michael Rosenbaum both played him on Smallville- Technically Blue played Major Zod but early scripts called him General, as for Rosenbaum, He spent two eps as Zod when Lex was possessed at the end of season 5 and beginning of Season 6

I really liked that Shannon's Zod and also Faora showed genuine sadness at losing their home planet. It seemed like Zod had an special affection for her as well, or is it just me?

I feel like the writers took more time to write the villain than the hero. Superman/Clark could have been given more lines during the last fight. Not saying Cavill Supes was bad, but he felt a bit underwritten like usual...

Can I just say I like em all and leave it at that?
When it comes to comics, one person's "fan-service" is another persons personal cannon. So by definition it's ALL fan service. Aren't we ALL fans?
SUPERMAN is the greatest fictional character ever created.
