The Archie Goodwin/Walt Simonson Manhunter originally appeared in short segments in various DC Giants and meant a lot to me. Really beautiful, well written stuff.

Hourman, i loved this series so much.

Same. I just recently got the back issues at my LCS because I'd lost my collection and missed this series so much. Loved the Hourman/Snapper Carr team and Peyer knocked it out of the park. Great to see him doing great work again at Ahoy.

I would say Jurgens Teen Titans because it gave us a very different and interesting Ray Palmer in a prominent role.

I know there's a thread on here about this, but for me, it was the Super Friends comics.

I'm not sure what kind of sales the book got, but it always seemed like a second or third tier book. Yet, I learned so much about the DC Universe by reading it - a lot more than I did watching the cartoon.

Villains like Chronos, Scarecrow, and Mirror Master were new to me but I learned who they were thru Super Friends.

Same for it, it was Super Friends. I remember getting issue #14 and being so excited to see the origin of the Wonder Twins.

SF was my introduction to JLA, Supergirl, and other characters.

Batman 353. I had it as a german oversize book. I read it a 1000 times...

Its the one where Batman is strapped on a Joker face Mountain

Detective Comics #439, "Night of the Stalker" is still my favorite Batman story ever told. It's done in one issue and an example of Batman stories at their first. If you have no idea what the character is about, that issue breaks it all down and presents every core element to what he's about.

It's also proof that the best Batman is bronze age Batman.

The ongoing series with Dart and Blackjak.
I rank it up there with Micronauts, Omega Men and Dreadstar.
(And it's a shame we never got an ongoing Starjammers series when the 'space squad with superhero elements' phase was in full effect.)
