About 100 away from the 1500 mark:

Anyone else find it almost contradictory that 'Ryan Wilder' is described as "likable" and "goofy", but also described as going on a vendetta against Scarecrow for killing her mother (in the articles). It's also implied that she's a killer.
Sooo, she's sort of Villanelle, or heck even a bit like Alice? Killing people, but being 'cute' about it.
This article sums things up pretty well:

I don't know the validity of this site, but more rumors:

Good for her! Not watching.

In this day and age? Probably true. She looks stunning. IMO even more so than Ruby (sorry ) But replacing the literally, physically whitest girl of DC and probably all of comics with exception of maybe Lady Death with a woman of color is totally a troll-move on purpose but one that's definitely not unthinkable these days. *points to the dreadful Birds of Prey adaption*
Batwoman will have a panel by the looks of it:

I feel like this may be awkward, depending.
If it was a reboot, or an alternate universe - then the whole family could be African American (or Jacob wouldn't have to be, but Gabi would). Likes the West family in the Arrowverse are - unlike in the comics. The other option? She was adopted - which kills the twin dynamic.
This conversations reminds me of Dragon Age Origins, the Noble route, where if you make your player character any race other than white it stands out, but isn't acknowledged in-game:
because the devs assumed white and made the family members as such.

Well, at least someone is still excited for season 2:

Good for him. As I usually say these days - not watching.
It's disappointingly looking like they aren't going to change their minds.
Once again, no reason why a recast can't work, it's not like there isn't a long history of it being done successfully:
https://tvline.com/gallery/recast-tv-roles/
In Lethal Weapon they didn't recast but instead went with a new OC for season 3 (and killed-off the character being replaced). Season 3 was the last season before it was axed.
Damon was ready to leave part for health and family reasons. So that show was as good as doa.
As for the Vanessa rumor-I can see it as it would be a good way to shut her up, give her a bigger role elsewhere and write her off Riverdale. She was fussing vbut failed to mention that show has two black female producers. So they co-signed on a lot of what she fussed about.
She'd still be playing a random insert that makes zero sense and invalidates season 1.
There is a fan suggestion that Sophie takes the mantle - and that would make a heck of a lot more sense, be more respectful, and give an actress already in the series the lead role:

I could actually get on board with this. Would always prefer a recast, but this I would actually watch.
