Seems like maybe the flashback from Rebirth with Kate and Sophie boxing will be in the pilot. Or, I think we can safely assume there will be boxing in the pilot anyway.

Yeah, I'm about 90% certain now they'll fight each other.

According to these, filming has started earlier than initially expected (I thought it was going to start on the 4th, but apparently its the 1st).

Now, slightly off topic, but I've been watching this youtube channel that breaks down the fighting techniques of film/tv characters.
If Batwoman goes to series, I wonder which techniques we might see, as it's fun to speculate.
For comparison, the breakdowns of Arrow, Black Canary, and Supergirl. And also, Punisher, and Daredevil.
I think:
Boxing (obviously)
MCMAP (Marine Core Martial Arts Program)
Combat Shooting???
Parkour
Ninjutsu
Karate
And more, as my guess is since it's the same network she'll probably do similar stuff to arrow/black canary throughout the season/s.

I sort of expected it from Green Arrow and Black Canary but I was surprised at how many fighting styles Supergirl knows. No wonder she defeated Superman. I'm guessing we see more like the types
of fights we see on Arrow or with White Canary on Batwoman, all being humans, instead of the Black Canary, which seemed to rely on the Canary Cry a lot.
I love Godzillarex! I've used his process to figure out Kate's fighting styles in the comics, and have found that she knows:
Boxing
Modern Army Combatives
Karate
Krav Maga
Muay Thai
Ninjutsu
Taekwondo
Wing Chun
So pretty similar, and probably what the show will use, since they're studying the source pretty close, and might read wiki material as well.
Speaking of fighting, Camrus Johnson as also been doing some boxing training, so Luke will probably still be an MMA fighter.

Agreed, I also like the detail of Supergirl initially using bad techniques before learning how to do it properly.
I'm hoping she's a bit stealthier than Arrow, but I haven't watched the Arrow show yet (just his crossover appearances), so I'm not sure if he's particularly stealthy, but Ninjutsu wasn't listed so I assume not.
They even watched the animated movie. https://twitter.com/BatwomanSpain/st...58101584310273
I've found more evidence that the pilot will film partially on location at West Point. It's still not confirmed, but it might be the strongest indication yet.
Last night, most of the cast did an escape room, and one of the people with them is associated with a Brooklyn film studio called Steiner Studios. His own IG posts confirm he's working on the show, so it's not like it was just a coincidence. The conclusion seems to be that some scenes will be filmed in New York.

They are mostly filming in Vancouver, but going to do some filming in Chicago, from what I heard. I wonder what that means for the series, if it goes ahead, whether they will be stationed in Vancouver or Chicago.
Being in Chicago would make the logistics harder for crossovers. I think one of the things keeping Black Lightning his own thing is that BL is filmed in Atlanta, Georgia. Also besides that Gotham is another network
and different tone one of the other hindrances to a crossover is Gotham is film in New York. Apparently it was even a bit of a logistical nightmare just to bring Grant Gustin to Los Angeles for the crossover in
the first season of Supergirl on CBS. It could be the majority of filming for Batwoman would be in Vancouver with a few exterior scenes filmed in Chicago. Even with Supergirl it looks like some exterior shots
are of Los Angles, the ones where it is just a areal view of the city not involving the actors.
I wonder if Jean-Paul Valley (Azreal) will show. That's one way to get around 'not have Batman appearing' problem, but that's my small weird opinion.

Since he is one of the friends she socialised with, in the fairly recently concluded 'Tec run, that would be cool. But I don't understand your meaning about it relating to Batman's absence. Batwing and Azrael were part of the Gotham Knights, and since no other shows or movies are using Azrael so far, I could see Batwoman getting him on the show in the future.
Looking cool.
If Azrael, or other Bat-Fam characters, turn-up though - I hope they only stick around to help for a short while (a few eps at a time) to deal with particular threats. Then go their own way. Stick to guest starring. And leave the large scale team-ups to crossovers (or LoT).
If too many Bat-Fam characters stay to help - they run the risk of the same problem some of the other shows have had where the protagonist either has to be made incompetent, or injured so that the team still has a viable challenge to overcome.
Apparently this happened with Arrow where he had a whole team of sidekicks, and while he used to be able to deal with a warehouse of thugs on his own, then he needed all the sidekicks to help. This made him weaker and less able than he was in earlier seasons. I don't know if that's been fixed now.
It's likely Batwoman will already have Flamebird and Batwing for help - 2 is enough in most situations IMO.
