Imho, the authors painted themselves in a corner: They don't want Scott and Jean to have a relationship (because it's too boring to redo it again?) but they both already cared about each others. So they either have to do something to really break their relationship (which they haven't) or ignore the whole history of those characters.

PS: For someone that hate Jean (and all characters that aren't Scott), you sure worry a lot about her, Fluffy.

Yeah, I read that too. But is it going to stick? I think not. Not when his time-displaced counterpart is running around.

But it looks like at least one part of that 4chan rumor was true. Could others be true as well? Including the one about Cyclops? It'll be interesting to find out.
