Sometime it is good to just see the rabid dog simple put out of it's misery quickly and cleanly, to show that he was simply another evil putz.

I see your point but I liked the dark mirror he held up to our Hank and the threat he represented of what Hank could become if he didn't remain vigilant - or at least what he told Hank he could become. I always assumed that was another huge stress on Hank, knowing that in another universe he became someone completely without empathy who was happy to carry out horrific experiments on mutants, humans, women, kids just for the sake of research.

You're saying that like it's a bad thing. Surely there's a market within the MU's omniverse for a long-haired Cyclops donning leather pants and singing about getting laid.

Oh in the omniverse I'm all for it. I like to think GlamRock!Cyke and Dazzler are a power couple whose every coke-fueled nightclub infidelity is eagerly recorded by the tabloids.

I just want our Cyke to stick with the familiar floppy chestnut hair. And the obliviousness about absolutely everything...

It's the X-Men bad version of pay it forward. I also think Hank had managed to convince himself that Cyclops waving a finger at mutant-bashing cops truly was going to unleash Armageddon upon them all, which, given the way the government and the right wing crazies tend to murder mutants even when they're not scolding public officials wasn't completely out there of him. Or managed to convince himself enough that he could indulge in some Cyclops punishing/nostalgia wallowing insanity as his swan song before dying. I just really want to see some impact now from recent events. We know - even if no one else does - that Hank got the full Christmas Carol visit from the Watcher and was left with much to ponder, then he discovers that it's his evil self that's been trolling Cyke for months/weeks/days/whatever time has supposed to pass since UXM v3 #1. And he has Cyke there, helpless and unconscious in his lab in need of his help for the first time in a long time, and his first impulse is to help him. But is he actually going to fess up about what the Watcher showed him or articulate any of his mixed feelings about recent events...? I really want to know if there is going to be some forward progression from Hank.

Don't think I'll ever get tired of this particular page. As if the x-beards ganging up on Cyke wasn't enough, Logan's exit strategy just might be the craziest ploy ever.
