I think I'm the only user on this forum who still likes the old-school pre-Claremont mess-up and pre-Morrison FUBARed Scott-Jean couple.

I'll keep shipping Tyke/Tean even though the prospects of them ever getting back together are getting slimmer by the minute, same for Old Jean returning to be with Scott, even though there is a better chance for her to hook up with a resurrected Logan if she ever comes back.

It's hopeless but still

Jean/Scott is okay, but in the end its always the same result. She'll die and Cyke will be left catatonic for awhile.

Or she will be pining for Logan again the moment he returns from the dead. I've not only seen this story before, I know how it ends and most of the major stops along the way. I want to watch something else. It's made even worse because not only can I see all the major points coming before they story even starts, but I have to watch them both stuck in a going nowhere pattern that is diminishing to both of them.

I don't think Jean ever pined for Logan but they might always have that sexual tension between them, which is why i want Jeen to completely replace dead Jean by the end of ANXM, then Logan probably wont pine over a grown up Jeen later on because she's not quite the same Jean he knew.

I still have a hearty love for S/J myself (I do like Scott/Emma too though) and I do hope we get to see them back together eventually.

When Jean and Scott were done right it was the best relationship in comics, but I'm only willing to see a return if the triangle with Logan is killed. And by killed I mean so thoroughly destroyed that the triangle becomes toxic to future writers.

The problem with Jean Scott is that the love triangle with logan around, a love triangle that didn't make any sense,, was there to screw up their relationship. Now it seems bendis wanted to adress that by Jeen despising logan and liking adult Cyclops a bit too more (anxm 26...),and trying to make Cyclops less dependant on Jeen through tyke. If bendis is aiming to fix the relationship and bring back jott in the Long therm he is doing an OK job.
As a side note I also ship InvertedClops and InvertedStorm, new power couple! Plus that might explain kymera existence

You're not alone...I still miss the old days and I want to see them back together too (although I too liked Scott/Emma...just not how it came about) but I would really like to see writers avoid the same old bad habits with them and these teen versions are the best chance of that...I also think the slow build to them getting together is a better option and I don't mind a few pit stops along the way. I would like to see the adult Jean come back eventually but only if they can avoid that stupid triangle again and, since I doubt they would, I'm kind of torn on the subject.
