Yes! Aside from it being a great story that explores seldomly seen corners of the DC Universe, the Mister Miracle chapters tie right into the Shilo Norman /Club Dark Side / Darkseid stuff in Final Crisis. One of my favorite Morrison works.

Seven Soldiers is a great piece of work that's highly underrated.

I read Klarion, Mister miracle, and Zatanna. It has been many years. Nothing to do with Final Crisis if I recall properly. Klarion was an origin story, a bit eh. The Mister Miracle was weird. All of the New Gods were mob people because of some weird curse and hung out in the Bronx or something. I don't recall the Zatanna storyline.
I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.
