Looks like Spencer is doing quite well on the title. Wonder why the bump between issues #9 and #10.

That is unusual. Each issue appeared to have variant covers, so I don't see how a difference in copies would have made enough of a difference.

The latter issue had a later order cutoff point, so Marvel could print more copies if retailers realize there is a higher demand, but would that lead to an increase of 18,000?

The Heist DLC for the video game was released between the cutoffs for Issue 9 and 10, so that was good timing for a Black Cat story. But again, it's a big jump.

The Comichron page says #10 did better than #9 mainly thanks to the J. Scott Campbell variant for it. That man's got a very loyal and devoted fanbase.

There was also a special incentive cover with Campbell's Black Cat for his super-fans that required Marvel to purchase 100 issues. And Black Cat would definitely fit Campbell's brand.

The #9 Black Cat variant (which also came with an incentive "virgin" variant) was an inventory piece by the deceased Mike Wieringo, who isn't associated with that type of character.

This title is a hit for Nick Spencer.

This has got to be his best-selling solo book for Marvel by this point.

TASM deserves to do well. #10 did better because of WOM and the development in it?

Retailers couldn't have known about Felicia getting let in on the secret identity, so that had no impact on these numbers.
