Didn't expect Marvel Action to be so high - IDW titles don't usually achieve such a high number!

Issue 10 outsold issue 9 by a decent amount. That seems like good news to me.

Those are really, really strong numbers for ASM 9 and 10 issues into a new series. I think it's safe to say Nick Spencer is a hit on this title.

    Well, it's a #1 and it's a Spider-Man book, so that probably helped.

I wonder if that's better then Spidey's initial numbers...

I thought so. Didn't want to exaggerate so I played it safe in my initial post about this.

    And so it was written:

"The masses shall know that Spencer is the best. That Captain America, Ant-Man, and Superior Foes are a blessed trinity. On the right hand, he will wield the Spider. On the left, all of Riverdale. And with these hands, he shall spread the scripture across the Earth and its people will be grateful. They will know what is asked of them. And they will prepare. For the Second Coming. The Second Coming of Morning Glories."

    And so it shall be.

Agreed. Funny, it’s not an event and the writer is not creating cheap controversy by writing to troll or piss off fans. Just solid writing giving fans what they want respecting the character and supporting cast. Marvel must be baffled.

In fact, it’s competing on the shelf with a Spider event that could potentially draw some sales away from the main book for readers on a budget. Very impressive.

    Carnage FTW!
"I should describe my known nature as tripartite, my interests consisting of three parallel and disassociated groups; a) love of the strange and the fantastic, b) love of abstract truth and scientific logic, c) love of the ancient and the permanent. Sundry combinations of these strains will probably account for my...odd tastes, and eccentricities."

Nice to see ASM doing so well!

Can someone provide some context for these numbers for ASM? Everyone says they are good but compared to what exactly?

Should we compare ANAD ASM #9 and #10?

    ANAD ASM #9 - 88,164
    http://comichron.com/monthlycomicssa...6/2016-03.html

    ANAD ASM #10 - 73,643
    ANAD ASM #11 - 67,446
    http://comichron.com/monthlycomicssa...6/2016-04.html

So while that #9 sold more than the new one, the following issues lost sales. December's sales will be the proof of success, I reckon.
