By the way, I'm sure revisiting pivotal moments in Marvel history has more than a little to do with next year being a big anniversary year for Marvel itself (80th) and for Ross and Busiek's Marvels (25th).

Wow, another amazing reboot. Hopefully it‘ll have tons of number one issues.

I'm not really surprised...more disheartened...as it just underscores my belief that the editors and writers are just imaginatively and creatively bankrupt and have been for quite some time.

    Editor 1: You got anything?
    Writer 1: Nothin'
    Writer 2: I gots nada.
Editor 2: Zip, Zilch and Zero
Editor 1: Hmmmm...I know! Let's retcon some origin stories that are decades old...the new readers won't know or care because it's all old stuff anyways. Nobody reads that far back. Besides, we've been rehashing Event titles and stories for a while now and that seems to have gone over well, so...

After the Celestial debacle and that ridiculous Avengers One Million foolishness, I'm convinced more than ever that Marvel needs to write new stories, not try to retcon the past. Stop trying to put your stamp on the origin of the Marvel Universe. Put your stamp on its future.

The word "Who" is on fire and if this turns out to be Phoenix Wolverine or something then I'm officially done.

What about a certain Jim Hammond? He'll be back in the limelight thanks to Invaders. First thing I thought of with that flame is Human Torch.

LMAO I thought that too but didn't want to utter it into existence.

Obviously, Marvel is using this DC character in a multi-company crossover epic.

I'll be keeping an eye out for more updates on this so I'll remain on the fence for the most part until we get more information, however I am a bit sceptical that ''History will be destroyed'' beyond the arc. At least for now.

That's just a buzzword. What they're actually doing is ADDING to history, not subtracting.

Someone said it before me in an X-Men thread and I've been terrified ever since.
