It does seem to be 10 year increments. 1997, Clone Saga? 2007, secret identity blown? 2017, Miles Morales?

Nice to see the play on that wedding issue with Doc Ock and May. Reading that, you always get the feeling that someone at Marvel wanted to ship it.

Considering how often it’s referenced, it’s not surprising.

I'm just surprised that the preview for issue #2 revealed that many spoilers. And I certainly wasn't expecting that many changes and deviations in a mere four pages. Really seems like Zdarsky is going all out on not just "What if Spider-Man aged in real time?" but also "What if the Marvel Universe really was our universe?"

    BTW spoilers:
I wonder if Aunt May still inherited a nuclear power plant in this timeline? Because that was the original reason Doc Ock wanted to marry her in the comics
    end of spoilers

I don't know how I feel about that. I wanted to read a Spider-Man story. If they released Life Story versions of the other heroes I'd be sold but I'm scared that they're gonna cram everything in the few issues.

Wow, that took some wild turns in a very short span. Love it, can't wait to see where this leads!

This issue just in the preview pages is brimming with ideas and deep cuts. Zdarsky really knows what he's doing and I am at the point where I am going to trust the storyteller.

i was under the impression that they are releasing ones for other heroes?

which is fine, but i kinda would have liked this as a spidey only thing

Well, I certainly have been enjoying the taste of fine feathered crow since that preview came out. Granted, knowing Chip's 'shipping preferences from prior work I was partially expecting this.

It's interesting to note that we have three ongoing Spider-Man books each focusing on three of his big love interests (616: MJ, Life Story: Gwen, Symbiote Spidey: Felicia)

I'm hoping there's enough interest to warrant spin-offs of each decade this book is spanning in the future just so we can plug the gaps and see just how Peter's relationship with Gwen fleshed out leading into this issue.

That was people misinterpreting a paraphrased live transcript of a Q&A at Marvel's C2E2 panel.

Fan Q: Does Life Story mean more self-contained stories?

C.B.: Yes, we have more planned. It will be very heavily tied to the Marvel U, but ones you can pick up, enjoy,.
