Hey guys!
I’m interested in getting your input into what are the best/good/entertaining spider-man runs ever - they can be from Peter Parker: Spider-Man, ASM, ETC.
Just trying to find the best
Lee/Ditko, Lee/Romita, Wein/Andru, Stern, DeMatteis, Bendis, Slott
Jenkins/Buckingham/Ramos. Peter Parker: Spider-Man (1999) #30-41, 44-50. Highly underrated.
Second vote for Bendis/Bagley.
Lee/ Ditko- The first and most important run. Might even be the best, given all the good stories.
Lee/ Romita- This is probably what most people think of with the Spider-Man status quo.
There's an argument for the first 150 issues being close to essential.
Beyond that...
Stern's ASM- Probably the best take on a Peter Parker who had been Spider-Man for a few years. Stern took more care into doing stuff that wasn't being done elsewhere.
Peter David's Spectacular Spider-Man/ 1980s work- Sometimes very serious, sometimes irreverent take on a street-level Spider-Man.
DeMatteis Spectacular Spider-Man- The Harry Osborn Saga is one of the best mega-arcs ever. Kraven's Last Hunt was the best standalone story.
Bendis/ Bagley Ultimate Spider-Man- Very accessible modern look at a high-school age Peter Parker.
Slott's Spider-Man- You can read it for cheap on Marvel Unlimited. He takes Peter to new places, and tells the Ultimate Doctor Octopus story.
Sincerely,
Thomas Mets
Bill Mantlo's Spectacular Spider-Man - considered by some to be underrated.
DeFalco/Frenz ASM run - supposed to be DeFalco's best-ever work.
Busiek/Olliffe Untold Tales of Spider-Man - retroactively filling in gaps while chronicling Spidey's early days.

I'll add (because all the previous choices are perfect):
* Jeff Loeb / Tim Sale - Spider-man Blue - a revisit of his origins.
* Lee / Rominata - The Amazing Spider-Man: Newspaper - published by IDW
Stan Lee/Steve Ditko ASM
Stan Lee/John Romita ASM
Gerry Conway ASM
J Michael Straczynski ASM
Dan Slott ASM
Very underrated: Christopher Yost on Scarlet Spider, Avenging Spider-Man and Superior Spider-Man Team-Up.
Ultimate Spider-Man by Brian Michael Bendis is the best I've read yet.
Doctor Strange: "You are the right person to replace Logan."
X-23: "I know there are people who disapprove... Guys on the Internet mainly."
(All-New Wolverine #4)
Ultimate Spider-Man 1-150 was the best run i´ve ever read...
(the other one is the Clone Saga, but i wont tell anyone)
Start with something more modern like Slott's Amazing Spiderman run.
I would then recommend reading Lee/Ditko and Stern/JRJR.
And Bendis' Ultimate Spiderman is awesome.
