    Default Kenshiro vs. Halo *nods*

This is less of a versus thread and more of a "can he replicate those feats?" thread.

Because otherwise, it's pretty obvious Ken could roflstomp most Halo threats.

The challenges: Ken has to survive/perform every feat Master Chief has of orbital reentry or stuff of that nature. Chief has hit the ground covered in a fireball from orbit twice. Can Ken survive a similar experience? .

Also, can Ken do this? :P

Can Ken hit hard enough to destroy Guilty Spark?

Ken vs The Flood. I'm curious on 2 things. 1: Can they physically infect him if they latch on properly? Or will he push the infection out of his body?
    https://youtu.be/GLMoYhpTerQ

2: Can he engage in dialogue with the Gravemind and resist the Logic Plague?

Ummm... maybe? I mean, he'd probably quite hurt by it but I'm not certain he would die. He's proven himself to be fireproof enough in the past and so on so it's just the impact he'd need to worry about and Kenshiro's been hit hard enough to shake mountains and destroy stone castles before so I'd imagine he'd be okay.

Also, can Ken do this? :P

There's nothing in that clip that Ken couldn't physically do. Hit his breath control pressure point, he's only actually in space for like... what a minute or so. He'd likely damage his eyes but he's regenerated from being blinded in the past so he should be alright.

I mean, I'd question him knowing exactly where to throw the bomb for maximum effect.

Can Ken hit hard enough to destroy Guilty Spark?
I don't know what this is.

Well, Muso Tensei and his speed advantage means they won't be able to touch him but... the infection seems like it would beat out anything Kenshiro could do. Especially since it would alter his human physiology as it spreads which is what Hokuto Shinken works on and spreads really fast. I could see him like... cutting off his own limb or whatever to preserve the rest of his body.

2: Can he engage in dialogue with the Gravemind and resist the Logic Plague?
I don't know what this is but Kenshiro isn't exactly a good diplomat. He is noticeably reticent beyond certain key phrases.

Guilty Spark is the Monitor AI of Halo. He has a gravity field capable of pushing Chief away when close. His actual physical durability is such that it takes 3 consecutive blasts from an energy beam capable of one shotting "fuuuuuture" tanks before he falls.

I don't know... maybe? I vaguely recall seeing a friend do this "boss fight," way back.

The... Spartan Laser is mostly heat based damage as I recall while Kenshiro specialises more in impact. If he's just allowed free shots at it then he'll probably get it eventually.

Can't Ken shoot his own lasers? Or are they fairly weak in comparison to his physical blows?

The Logic Plague. Think of it as a form a subtle telepathic corruption mixed with actual debate based argumentation. Gravemind usually uses it in it's pure logical form to corrupt the thinking of super computers and AI but can argue organics into psychopathy, whatever, just fine.

Basically, im wondering if Ken has anything to suggest he could.... I dunno what a close example would be... uhh, resist the One Ring or something like that.

His lasers are somewhat potent but again, they are more forces beams than heat beams and thus not really directly comparable to the Spartan Laser. Ken definitely punches harder though but we don't know how much physical impact the Guilty Spark can take. I think he could do it but there's some variables there.

In terms of the logic virus, what's it trying to get Kenshiro to do exactly? He's got willpower for days but there are certainly psychological weaknesses in there.

He couldn't really resist the One Ring, based on what I know of him. He lacks the correct psyche profile for it.

    *shrugs* its multipurpose.

He convinced mega AI that he was unifying life and that resistance was the insult to nature. Later he corrupts the Didact (organic military leader) by driving him a bit loopy so he would sow dissention behind enemy lines

I really wish I knew more about this logic plague, every time it comes up I just get more questions.

Like: I wonder if Freakazoid could infect it back since he's an Internet being immune to petty concepts like Logic or Consistency.

Lol, not sure how the Toonforce would interact. :P

Its raw perspective shifting cosmic argumentation and debate. Logic in it's purest form.

The Gravemind possesses intellect on a Galactic level. As in, at the time of the Forerunners downfall, it had huge swaths of space infected to the point where entire planets had spires of organic growth reaching off of their surfaces and being used for nothing other than raw computational thinking power. A single of these infected planets (Keyminds) had more computational power than Contender Class AI which they themselves were basically running all of Forerunner workings and could make Cortana level AI crap themselves. Supposedly the Gravemind had thousands of such Keyminds in its web.

It took 43 years of constant debate for the original Gravemind to "infect" the Contender AI Mendicant Bias. Before it had it's infected web on influence. But once he had persuaded Mendicant that diversity of life is suffering, it went downhill quickly. AI are more susceptible to the Logic Plague simply because they are more connected and can upload and comprehend the entire argument in moments. Like a bad email going out to all your contacts lol.

He can focus individual attention on organic life however. A team of ancient humans once asked the original Gravemind some questions while it was locked up. A single sentence being uttered drove the scientists to suicide and they doubled down on security, closing off all communications.

Its part psychic influence, part "hey listen to this sales pitch!".

It's purely that second thing when AI are involved.

Flood corruption is SO pure and SO intense that when the Forerunner used Composers to digitize infected civilians abd then regrow their data into organic form but WITHOUT any of the Flood contamination, the victims still began to rot and fall apart. For no reason other than the Flood "virus" having an esoteric metaphysical property wherein your spirit becomes as corrupted as your body.

Well, in absence of Kenshiro having encountered anything like that... yeah, it should work on him?

Should be pointed out that the Flood is, itself, the twisted legacy of a race of beings who were so angry ... they basically dehydrated themselves into sand, shoved themselves into vials, and then shot themselves out of the Milky Way while they hibernated. Then they festered in their desiccated 'stank dust' form for however many thousands of years, and when they eventually returned the sand was basically demon sand. Not knowing what it was when it was eventually found ... the Forerunners/Ancient Humans figured out "well hey it makes some pretty nifty benign mutations" and started genetically splicing their pets with it.

This was the first and last mistake of the Forerunners/Ancient Humans. Cuz Japan happened, and then everything became tentacles.

This is clearly a pretty ... uh ... not worded the way it was in the source; but pretty much what happened.

Figure Ken does fine up until the Logic Plague ... as far as the scenario goes though. Assuming he goofs up and tries to no-sell a Flood Spore or whatever, that'll get him too but y'know, he's faster than the Flood by a ludicrous amount.
Yeah, but if you... man, we're getting into weird analogy territory, like if you disintegrated Superman's arms he wouldn't be able to go "fool! Little did you know that my arms and I are one and can be remade from me!" and will his arms back into being from pure nothingness. - Pendaran

Its a weird thing to fight yeah. I'm just not up on Ken stuff. I figured he may have a way to I dunno... "shut his mind off" or some other goofy chi magic protection.

    This all sounds about right.
