I suppose to be serious for a half second, post crisis Scott did have the anti life equation, given fight conditions he'd have no reason not to use it here.

What does the Anti Life Equation do? It always seemed like more of a plot macguffin than anything else.

A whole ton of things in the hands of anyone competent, but at bare minimum (barring.. baffling, Final Crisis Darkseid level incompetence), unbreakable mind control on such as hear your commands. Before you roll out no limits, Orion pretty much seized control of Earth that way, and even such as otherwise were pretty strong willed resistant types became his minions like nothing. So at the very least, it's pretty oomphed.
