What if Spider-Man confront Mojo and Spiral?

That could be fun. Considering that Spider-Man's life is basically a superpowered soap opera (the 90s animated series was even described by Fox Kids in the screen image for the Y7 rating as "superhero action-drama"), I could see Mojo wanting to tap into that for bigger ratings in Mojoworld.

Peter would have maybe 3 or 4 more matches before he gets banned due to being blatantly Superhuman (Flash kills Crusher Hogan by accident with Spider Strength in one what if) also possibly due to issues regarding his identity. Spiderman leaves his buisness with a small group of fans (led by a glowing JJJ review as in canon) due to his athletic and unique combat style as well as reasonably decent mic skills I've little doubt he'd have SOME fans.

WWE maybe hire him for a one off celebrity match if he becomes a viral hit. He's paid stupid money to job and may actually pick up some more theatrical wrestling skills to sell him losing and avoiding hurting anyone. Depending on the Period ECW may try and do a long term hire pushing how their wrestlers are so hardcore they'll fight a guy who could kill them with ease, scripting Peter to go all out on occasion but in a very focused way (so someone hits him with a sledge, he catches it and crushes the head) to really sell it. If not TnA would bankrupt themselves trying a similar stunt.

It all ends the same way though. Peter ends up at UNLIMITED CLASS WRESTLING FEDERATION the wrestling group designed explicitly for Superhumans. Now the Power Broker will be overjoyed, heres a guy with a pre existing fanbase AND powers , so no need for expensive augmentation and drugging. Problem is he's got to ensure he doesnt find out about that side of the buisness. This guy (Peters probably 18 at this point ?) may be a bit of an ******* (Bens dead but Peter either wasnt near the Burglar being in the ring or just didnt learn anything) but he's not a sociopath. So Broker makes a big hullabaloo about the guy which inflates Peters ego a bit until other Longtimers get irritated about this newbie. Especially the mid leaguers in the higher classes (UCWF works on a "How strong" basis not a "How heavy"). Peter may also be a bit more overworked since before he was fighting people who he outclassed in mostly scripted combat acting. UCWF is straight up Cage Fighting.

Peter would have revealed his identity to May early on. The local wrestling leagues are one thing, but when WWE drop 50k into your account and your buying her fancy **** or paying all her bills for the year she'll notice. She's not happy but she also acknowledges its his life and as long as he keeps up his education and puts some money aside for college its ok. She turns up to most of his matches and becomes a weird viral figure called "Spider Mom" because shes so old and concerned.

Anyway Peter gets his eyes opened by some of the more long term wrestlers who explain how **** works, or he figures it out. Alternatively he could hook up with some of the female wrestlers who may very well explain the system to him. Peter has the option now, walk or stop this. Peter uses his Spider Abilities to record some of the drugging and other illegal bs before going to court with it.

UCWF is hit with a scandal that makes the 90s Steroids scandal look like chump change. The Avengers are called in when things start getting hairy, theres 40 odd people in court whom all could knock down buildings and a guy with ties to multiple supervillains. Nothing happens thankfully. Peter has to unmask in court leading to alot of shock, including from the Spider fanbase numero uno Flash Thompson. After Power Broker and his Cronies go down Peter semi-retires focusing on his education (semi-private to avoid mobs) occasionally masking up for City Wide events ("I'm no Superhero but I'm not letting these Aliens/etc hurt my friends") or for special events. His merch sales are still fairly strong due to his iconic appearance and matches.

5 years later Peter is now a specialist in certain scientific fields (Gravity/Chemical/Radiation) whom is often brought on to TV as a talking head due to his media background, many jokes are made about his wrestling career in relation, Peter good naturedly runs with them. UCWF is rebooted as a Sports Entertainment/WWE style show instead of cage fights, Peter occasionally turns up but has a very mixed reception with some of the old hardcore fans feeling he sold out UCWF, others praise him heavily. He may eventually become a "Commissioner" on the show, effectively not wrestling but acting. He now cracks jokes about being a wrestling scientist "If I can suplex the atom I can do the same to you"

He'll be with either the Female Wrestler he hooked up with originally in UCWF or maybe MJ ? He avoided college so no Gwen, no crimefighting so no Black Cat.

All the grapplers started as villainous mercs though which may be a bit much for an 18 year old. Probably an OC or a character that got barely any panel time like Vavavoom

Both are fascinating possibilities. However, I think number two would have the greatest impact because it would be a drastic continuity change very earlier in Peter's career as Spider-Man.

Edit - I wish there was a person like MasakoX (https://www.youtube.com/user/MasakoXtreme) from Youtube (he does well thought out Dragon Ball What Ifs?) for Spidey. To do a story based around Idea No. 2 would require a vast knowledge of early Spider-Man history (first decade or so of publication) so it would work. I would try my hand at such a fanfic but, frankly, I lack in-depth knowledge of that period.

Funny enough, they considered Aunt May as the Green Goblin's victim for the original story, but changed their minds on that because if she'd died, there'd be no reason for Peter to keep his secret identity anymore or something like that.

I hadn't actually heard that before. Interesting.

I do think it would be a bit much for main continuity, but it makes for a great What if?

What if during the Gwen/Bridge scenario Gwen manages to throw Norman off ? Say his Glider malfunctions on the way over there so he has to get off with her on the top of the Golden Gate Bridge in await of Spiderman. Gwen wakes up but Normans too busy on his patchjob to notice, just as Peter arrives he sees Gwen shove him as hard as she can OFF the bridge.

The Gliders still busted, he cant fly and she's pushed him hard enough that theirs no Daredevil esque handholds for him to grab.

It depends entirely upon whether or not Peter can successfully hold back enough to be roughly proportionate to the other guys on the roster. In this story, let’s say he can, simply to make it more interesting since we already know what would happen if he doesn’t.

Then he'll get hired by WWE, probably do fairly well until Vince inevitably tries to "Improve him"or ignores him in favour of some muscle bound giant, he'll get alot of air time due his durability/healing because he'll barely get injured which is in his favour as far too many guys get hurt.The costume is a big seller but he may have to unmask to Vince who wont tolerate the anonymous fighter bs. He'll probably walk, maybe go to Japan and do well. Either way his athletecism would make him a big hit.

maybe not as exciting as most of these, but what if peter parker went to a different school and grew up with an entirely different crowd? i'd be interested to see how much of the peter we know today would still have evolved in a radically peer group.
