What if Gwen Stacy stayed in London?

What if Jean Dewolff had lived?

What if Punisher trained Spider-Man (in the immediate aftermath of Gwen's death)?
    Sincerely,

Here's a bit of a wordy one, but what if instead of making a bunch of clones of Spider-man, Jackal focused on makign a bunch of clones of Spider-man enemies and sending them out after Spidey?

There was a What If...? where Venom's symbiote bonded with Punisher instead of Eddie Brock.

So, What if the Venom's symbiote would have bonded with... Let's say... Black Cat?

I remember enjoying that story about Venom/Punisher from What If...?, Vol.2 #44. The second volume of that series had a lot of favorites.

Since I've already seen Flash bond with the symbiote, I would be very interested in seeing a Venom-possessed version of either Lance Bannon or John Jameson (or maybe even his dad, J.J.J.).

What if Otto Octavius defeated Norman at the end of Superior Spider-Man? (aka, Peter was never resurrected)

What if Ezekiel placed Peter Parker in the bunker instead of Cindy Moon?

The first arc of Spider-Gwen: Ghost-Spider has Spider-Gwen stuck in a reality where Gwen Stacy became the Green Goblin, and it was heavily implied that that reality's Gwen and Mary Jane were romantically involved before Gwen went nuts. Regarding Peter/Harry, Norman once taunted Spider-Man in the Dark Reign tie-in arc American Son about whether or not Spider-Man's "obsession" with Harry came from being in love with him, back when the OMD memory alteration was in effect and Norman had no idea that Spider-Man was Peter Parker anymore.

That would make sense as a continuation of where Spectacular Spider-Man left off, with Black Cat hating Spider-Man for putting her father back in prison (technically, her father sacrificed himself to help Spider-Man, even knowing he was going to be stuck in prison, to atone for killing Peter's uncle Ben) and the symbiote separated from Eddie Brock and out on its own.

Not really. Black Cat hating Spider-Man for leaving her dad on prision has no fundament. I mean, he killed Ben Parker. I always saw a thief as a bad guy who could get a second chance, but in the moment you take a life, you became a murderer. And even in comics' world, killing is something you can't fix just like that.

Also, the symbiote would have reached Eddie Brock on prision and took him out, just like in the comics. But in doing it, he left a trace of itself behind, which would bond with his cellmate (Cletus Kassidy, who was introduced in the series) and become Carnage. Carnage will force Venom to step away from his obsession with Spider-Man and work with him to stop Carnage.

I never said Black Cat's feelings were rational. Hell, the foundation of her anger at Spider-Man does lean into her less flattering portrayals in the original or earlier (and even some of the later) comics that depict her as being in it purely for thrills and not caring that much, if at all, what happens to other people as long as she gets what she wants. With the Venom symbiote bonding with her and giving her a distorted take on Spider-Man's true motivations, just like it twisted Peter's actions as himself and Spider-Man to make him seem (more) like the bad guy in Eddie Brock's eyes, it would be very easy to motivate her into going after Spider-Man/Peter and his loved ones out of spite.

But there's no reason for Black Cat to act like that. She KNOW his father killed one man (Ben Parker), and unlike regular thieves, that's a crime you CAN'T forgive just like that. Even if Felicia like it or not, his dad's hands are covered by blood, and he has to pay for that.

Wow, a thief being selfish? Who woulda thunk it?

Besides this is alternate universe Black Cat. TAS Black Cat was a straight up hero. Adaptations are allowed flexibility.
