What if Ben Reilly had been the one that went through the events of Spiderhunt and then Identity Crisis? Specifically, would he have come up with different costumes?
Perhaps he'd have still gained the Dusk suit from the Negative Zone, but would Hobie have shared the Hornet costume with him?
Also, I believe MJ helped Peter create the Ricochet and Prodigy identities; without her influence, what might Ben have done instead?
-Pav, who wonders if going back to his Scarlet identity would work...
You were Spider-Man then. You and Peter had agreed on it. But he came back right when you started feeling comfortable.
You know what it means when he comes back.
"You're not the better one, Peter. You're just older."

What if Mary Jane was the one bitten by the spider?
What if Peter never had a secret identity?
What if Aunt May and Uncle Ben both were killed by the burglar?
There have been at least a couple of realities where MJ was bitten by the spider within the canonical Marvel Multiverse. As for what would have happened if both Aunt May and Uncle Ben had been killed by the burglar that broke into their house . . . hmm, I'm guessing Peter would have likely met Mary Jane sooner, as Anna Watson would have probably felt obligated to take him in out of respect for her friend May.
The spider is always on the hunt.
Hmm, good distinction there. The ones that come to mind are the version of her that appeared in Exiles as Spider-Woman (wearing a version of Peter Parker's costume), and the one from an Incredible Hercules story arc that also had her as Spider-Woman (and wearing Ben Reilly's/her daughter Mayday Parker's costume).

What if Norman didn't kill Ben during Revelations, and the brotherly relationship between Peter and Ben only intensified over time -- meaning that Ben and Peter become true crime-fighting partners indefinitely?
How would things have changed with Peter always having someone watch his back?
-Pav, who wants to travel to the alternate reality where this was what happened...

That's a good one, but I would put a more angst-ridden spin on it. What if the Ben Reilly that Norman killed in Revelations wasn't the real Ben, but a clone Norman had programmed to die in Ben's place while Norman had the real Ben stashed away as basically a living stress ball to take out his anger on every time Peter thwarted or frustrated him?

What if Spiderman was a professional wrestler instead of a superhero?
