That's a pretty star-studded cast of creative teams, and I like the variant covers for different eras .

Wasn't expecting them to change the design too much, and the sword definitely emphasizes the "knight" aspect more.

The story you’re thinking of was titled Citizen Wayne. It appeared in Batman Chronicles #21 in 2000. The artist on that story was Michael Gaydos. I’m sure the story in Detective #1000 will be a new one. I did hear that Citizen Wayne was reprinted in Pearl #1 earlier this year.

Oh yeah that's right, my mistake. I remember Bendis mentioning it got reprinted but I forgot if he said it was in Detective #1000 or somewhere else. I got Gaydos and Maleev confused there.

How does this represent the 60's when Batman's main outfit was still the Grey/Blue/Capsule Belt?

How nay of these people acdtually worked on Detective? Really disappointed they didn't at least have Graham Nolan do the cover for the 90's. He and Dixon had a great run on the book.

This, sadly, is the only one of the covers I like. Hoping Middleton gets a store exclusive variant.

I hope Dick is Arkham Knight. Bane is in charge of Arkham, Bane ordered the shot, Ric found out about it and get angry at Batman, "YOU DID THIS TO MEH!" and it becomes stupid.

    It's probably Jeremiah Arkham.

Great. Bendis is going to ruin Batman too.
The Gypsies had no home. The Doors had no bass.

Does our reality determine our fiction or does our fiction determine our reality?

Whenever the question comes up about who some mysterious person is or who is behind something the answer will always be Frank Stallone.

I did wonder why she was wearing a tee shirt with '52' on it...strange. And a little disappointed Catwoman is in her previous costume. I really want to see Jim's take on her new costume. I guess this is supposed to be a modern classic cover. I love that Nightwing is eating a cookie. Of course he would be snacking. ;-)

I think this is my favourite of this series but to be really pedantic isn't the multi coloured Batman suit from the 1960s? Does anyone know when it first appeared?

DC decided Tim will not be Nightwing
