    Default Beast: X-Man or Avenger

Wondering, do people here like Beast more as an Avenger or as a X-Man?
DC, please give Jonah Hex a new solo.

He needs a rest for a while. 2 or 3 years dead and then comeback fresh.

OVersaturated . The O5. the Inhumans thing. get Beast far away for the XBOOKS and the abooks.

It's interesting as he has been made the villain and scapegoat for a lot of nonsense in the X-books over the past decade or so. He's made questionable choices over a number events that has him putting science over people/mutants. Everything time he's been brought back into the x-fold he's been made to be a mad scientist and ineffective of doing anything other than harm. Whereas when he's returned to the Avengers his character is treated with more respect and he's allowed to be more heroic. Maybe it's because they already have the reoccurring mad scientist role in Hank Pym, but that's how I see it.

So currently I think Beast is better off in the Avengers books for a variety of reasons. In my heart he always belongs with the X-Men or X-Factor, just not under the current editorial mandate (I'm joking on that but not really) to his character in the X-books so I would prefer to see the best Hank so Avengers.

Change "y'all" to "the X-Office" and you'd be correct.

yap. He's been written poorly in recent years, but I think he's a hell of a good character concept to keep available in the background.

As long as he's around at all, he's gonna be the first one the X-Men turn to for scientific solutions to big problems that need span an event or an arc and he's gonna keep looking like the same old fuck-up. He needs to be dead, marooned in space, and other time or dimension for a year or twi.

Oversaturated. I love the guy, I really do, but since Marvel had been very much all about separating the X-Books from the greater Marvel U, they've been depending a lot on Beast to serve as the liaison between the two worlds without lightening that burden by spreading it out across various characters. Give him a break or limit his screen time just a bit to a couple books at best.

With that said, the thing that drives me nuts is that, in the same month of publishing, he'll be in an Avengers book as happy go lucky and then morose or deadly serious in an X-book, with very little in between. He's either bouncy Beast or foreboding, grumpy Beast, sometimes in the same week. Editors are supposed to help streamline that for character consistency's sake.
